Avizia and Regroup Partner to Enable Virtual Behavioral Healthcare Services

Avizia is partnering with telepsychiatry service provider Regroup to enable secure telehealth services for behavioral health providers. The partnership will allow Avizia to deliver Regroup’s mental health services to patients across the country.

“Like Avizia, Regroup was founded on the idea that no patient should have to worry about access to high-quality healthcare, regardless of their geographic location, socioeconomic status, or level of need,” said Avizia founder and CEO Mike Baird.

Access to high-quality behavioral healthcare services is a major challenge for patients in remote or underserved areas. Because of this, behavioral health services conducted through telehealth represents one of the fastest-growing areas of telemedicine. Avizia’s 2017 Closing the Telehealth Gap report showed that organizations that use telehealth technology, 70 percent use it to expand access and reach, and 55 percent use it to improve patient outcomes.

“Our mission is to innovate in the delivery of mental health services to reach entities and patients in need. This partnership with Avizia accelerates our ability to deliver on that mission,” said Regroup CEO David Cohn. “Avizia’s platform infrastructure and state-of-the-art features enable telepsychiatry consultations that are seamless, secure, and easily integrate with healthcare providers’ [electronic health records].”

Avizia, a McKesson Ventures portfolio company, partners with providers to deploy and power system-wide telehealth, using a collaborative approach with a market-leading telehealth solutions suite that scales access across the continuum of care.
