CoxHealth Taps Kyruus to Optimize Patient-Provider Matching to Improve Patient Experience July 18, 2018

Springfield, Missouri-based health system CoxHealth has chosen Kyruus’s ProviderMatch for Access Centers and ProviderMatch for Consumers software to optimize patient-provider matching and improve patients’ overall experience when accessing care at the system.

CoxHealth was looking for software to enhance patients’ experience from their first contact, whether that was through the system’s website or its call center. CoxHealth chose Kyruus because it will help Cox’s six hospitals and more than 80 clinics to further centralize and scale its contact center by providing an accurate and robust provider directory.

ProviderMatch for Access Centers will support call center agents by providing them with easy access to accurate information about providers, including details on each provider’s specialties and appointment availability. The ProviderMatch product also provides powerful “smart search” capabilities that will simplify the process of matching patients with the right providers to meet their health needs.

The ProviderMatch API will allow consumers to access a similar “smart search” engine, either through custom apps or through other CoxHealth digital properties. This is expected to drive consumer engagement while retaining data consistency.

“The ProviderMatch platform positions us to empower both consumers and call center agents with robust and reliable provider information that’s not only easily searchable, but also consistent across channels,” said CoxHealth Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications Jann Holland.

“While online access is naturally a top priority for health systems today, many of their call centers are simultaneously undergoing a transformation—from a traditional emphasis on transactions to a strategic focus on patient experience,” said Kyruus CEO Graham Gardner. “With both access points remaining critical for consumers, the most impactful access strategies will be multi-channel, and we’re honored to work with CoxHealth to make theirs a reality.”

Kyruus, a McKesson Ventures portfolio company, is a leading provider of enterprise software solutions that enable hospitals and health systems to optimize the patient experience across all channels of patient access.
