Accolade and AmeriHealth New Jersey announced on July 19th a new collaboration that will help AmeriHealth New Jersey customers make the most of their benefits. The two companies have partnered to offer a preliminary group of customers access to a service called Accolade Health Assistants® at no additional cost.
“We’re honored to be collaborating with AmeriHealth New Jersey to bring personalized healthcare support to many New Jersey individuals and families,” said Robert Cavanaugh, who is president of field operations for Accolade.
Accolade Health Assistants® will give participating AmeriHealth New Jersey members access to a personal health assistant. Customers simply call in, and the first Health Assistant they speak to becomes their personal health assistant for all calls moving forward.
“It is important to us that our members feel supported as they continue to navigate this new health care environment we are operating in today,” said AmeriHealth New Jersey’s senior vice president of sales and marketing, Mike Munoz.
Accolade Health Assistants® will be supported by both Accolade’s technology platform and a team of doctors, nurses, social workers, behavioral and other specialists. This will allow them to offer assistance to customers in many ways, including eligibility support, premium support, benefit questions support, claim question support, provider search support, administrative services support, and clinical services support.
Accolade is part of the McKesson Ventures portfolio and provides on-demand healthcare concierge for employers, health plans, and health systems. This paves the way for highly customized health assistance service, better health care decisions, long-term cost savings, and better outcomes.
