Mercer and Accolade form alliance to set a new standard in consumer health experience

Global healthcare adviser Mercer has teamed up with healthcare concierge Accolade to develop an all-inclusive healthcare management solution. “Mercer Complete Care” debuted on August 4th and was developed as a resource for employers to offer their employees. The all-encompassing system allows employees and their dependents to perform a variety of health-related tasks, including:

– Review benefits and annual enrollment plans
– Read reviews on local healthcare professionals
– Book medical appointments
– Make and schedule payments
– Review claims appeals

The system was created in response to a recent survey in which 80% of employees stated that they would value this type of system despite only 56% of employers offering it.

Accolade, a McKesson Ventures portfolio company, not only powers the system, but also provides a team of specialized Health Assistants® for members to contact when they have questions or concerns. Accolade’s Health Assistants® not only assist users with system navigation, but can also provide answers to basic healthcare questions. A specialized team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and social workers ensure that the information provided by the Health Assistants® is accurate and up-to-date.

The recent launch of the new management system is big news for Mercer, who continues to be a world leader in medical consultation. As a subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies, whose annual revenue tops $13 billion, Mercer is expected to further their assets with the release of Mercer Complete Care.
