Midi Health CEO Joanna Strober Discusses Accessible Menopause Care with McKesson Ventures Partner Michelle Snyder on Breaking Health Podcast

Joanna Strober, CEO and founder of women’s midlife care provider Midi Health, recently was featured on Episode 176 of the Breaking Health Podcast, alongside host and McKesson Ventures partner Michelle Snyder. The two discussed how Midi is providing a platform for robust and equitable healthcare to women all across the United States, as well as how the company is working hand-in-hand with providers to anticipate their patients’ needs and “follow the women” in delivering products and services that female patients need most.

Strober speaks on the podcast about her history working in venture capital during the late 1990s and early 2000s “dot-com bubble,” explaining how her early investments in companies such as Blue Nile and Baby Center helped her learn the intricacies of working with startup companies and their founders. This eventually led to her founding her first company, Kurbo; a digital therapeutic for childhood obesity in 2013, which was later acquired by WW (Weight Watchers) in 2018. Strober then talks about how she went on to found Midi years later, and discusses how women’s health providers are now finally starting to see “women asking for better care,” as female patients become more aware of menopause and the effects that this period of transition has on their bodies.

Founded in 2021 by Joanna Strober and Sharon Meers, Midi Health has worked hard to establish itself in the industry as the premier destination for midlife women to receive virtual care and health products. Most recently, Midi has forged partnerships with major health systems and insurance providers across all 50 states, reaffirming the company’s commitment to providing quality and readily-available care to women across the country.
