McKesson Ventures Vice President and Partner Carrie (Hurwitz) Williams was named as one of Global Corporate Venturing (GCV)’s top “Emerging Leaders for 2024”! Announced on Monday, March 11th, Williams was praised by GCV for her experience with “the business development side of corporate venturing, helping founders build their companies and creating commercial partnerships between the startups, other industry players, and when possible, [her] parent company, McKesson.”
Williams has a deep background in the healthcare, medical technology, and corporate venture industries. She helped manage clinical trials for Wyeth/Pfizer early in her career, furthered business development during her time at Omada Health, and was with McKesson a decade ago when the company initially launched its venture fund. Williams was made Vice President and Partner of McKesson Ventures in 2020, which has since gone on to make over 40 investments, with over 25 portfolio companies currently active.
