In order to further its mission of partnering with exceptional healthcare entrepreneurs, McKesson Ventures has added two new members to its investment team: Carrie Hurwitz Williams as Principal and Irem Mertol as Director.

Irem’s well-respected background as an investor and entrepreneur across healthcare services and technology companies will help us continue to advance our portfolio.”
As Principal, Williams will primarily focus on promoting McKesson Ventures as a strategic investment partner for businesses that specialize in consumerism, channel development, and retail transformation. She brings more than 15 years of healthcare industry experience to her new role. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Strategy and Business Development at Omada Health.
As Director, Mertol’s primary responsibilities will center on scouting for potential investments, creating investment theses, and assisting with portfolio management. She brings forth an extensive background in investing and has previously worked for Andreessen Horowitz, Canvas Ventures, StartUp Health and Madison Dearborn Partners.
