Technology-enabled cancer care provider Reimagine Care recently announced an expansion to its partnership with the Florida-based Moffitt Cancer Center, in which Reimagine’s AI-assistant Remi will be used to offer continuous support to Moffitt’s oncology patients beyond the time of their scheduled visits. This will allow cancer patients to receive answers to their care questions at previously unavailable times and locations, have an easier time accurately tracking their symptoms, and much more.
Reimagine Care CEO Dan Nardi provided some insight into how existing oncology workflows can be improved in the company’s press release, explaining “Cancer care still runs on snapshots from scheduled visits, while patients experience symptoms in between those moments. A continuous signal on how someone is doing allows care teams to intervene earlier, manage symptoms more effectively, and reduce avoidable escalation.”
Tim Hembree, DO, PhD, Vice President and Chief Quality Officer of Moffitt Cancer Center, echoed Nardi’s sentiments in the joint press release, saying “Our focus is on delivering high quality cancer care throughout the patient journey. This approach allows care teams to maintain visibility into patients’ needs between visits, respond earlier when issues arise and provide more consistent support.”
Founded in 2020 by Devin Carty and Dr. Aaron Gerber, Reimagine Care has quickly been able to establish itself as a national leader in at-home oncology care, made possible with its advanced care platform that uses AI-enabled solutions to greatly reduce treatment and administrative burdens for oncology providers.
