Accolade is teaming up with corporate wellness technology firm Limeade to reduce healthcare costs and maximize medical benefits. The two companies will be focusing on the needs of employees to help improve the healthcare system.
As an on-demand healthcare concierge, Accolade specializes in helping employees navigate their healthcare options by providing clinical support and personalized customer service. So far, the company has had tremendous success. In fact, in 2013, Forbes put Accolade on its list of America’s Most Promising Companies.
Limeade is also making a name for itself. High-profile clients include Puget Sound Energy, Bloodworks Northwest, and Kohl’s. The company encourages employees to make healthy lifestyle choices through its reward-based incentive program. So far, the program has been a big hit.
Accolade CEO Rajeev Singh is a long-time friend of Limeade CEO Henry Albrecht. However, Singh maintains that the recent partnership is not a result of their personal relationship, but is instead a “happy side note.”
“We are always on the lookout for partners who have that same mindset, and Limeade just kept coming up,” Singh stated. “They are one of the leading innovators in the health and wellness space.”
