The Froedtert & MCW health network has expanded its digital health offerings to pregnant patients through a new integration between virtual obstetrical care platform Babyscripts and Xealth, a company that enables digital health at scale. This clinical solution is the latest measure in Froedtert & MCW health network’s commitment to personalize and meaningfully improve the health and well-being of expectant mothers and their babies.
In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Froedtert & MCW health network has increased enrollment in the remote patient monitoring solution to reduce the number of in-person prenatal visits and advise pregnant patients remotely, when possible. Integrating Babyscripts via Xealth has accelerated the organization’s rollout of the virtual maternity care plan and given care teams new insight into patients’ program enrollment and engagement.
“The Froedtert & MCW health network has a strong track record of incorporating leading technology to enhance care delivery,” said Froedtert & MCW health network obstetrician/gynecologist Dr. Seema Menon. “The recent coronavirus has increased the importance of using digital tools to provide expecting moms with the care they need, without exposing them to the unnecessary risk of an in-person visit. With Babyscripts deployed through Xealth, providers can monitor and advise patients remotely, keeping apprised of pregnancy progression without the patients leaving home.”
The integration between Babyscripts and Xealth provides a convenient option for Xealth customers like the Froedtert & MCW health network to access Babyscripts program management features easily and quickly from within their existing workflow, without having to use separate interfaces. A change from manual enrollment to automated enrollment frees up time for providers and improves patient engagement rates.
“As demonstrated through our ongoing relationship with the Froedtert & MCW health network across several specialties, digital health extends the doctor and patient connection, and introduces more convenience and flexibility into care delivery,” said Xealth CEO and Co-founder Mike McSherry. “There is a great benefit to patients knowing that all care does not have to occur in-office. By ordering Babyscripts through the Xealth digital health platform, medical providers can streamline patient onboarding, improve patient engagement, and gain insights into biometric data, which keeps them connected remotely and may inform care decisions.”
