RxLightning has hired Kathleen Bresette as its first chief revenue officer. Bresette’s experience in the health care industry is expansive. Most recently, she served as vice president of business development and client strategy at DrFirst Inc. She was also previously the chief revenue officer for Aptus Health (then Physicians Interactive).
In her new role at RxLightning, Bresette will be responsible for the generation of revenue, business development provider growth and sales, and building a sales team.
RxLightning raised $17.5 million in funding in April to accelerate growth and remove barriers to essential specialty medications. Among other things, this latest round of funding allowed it to expand its team to include Bresette. The company, which began in 2020, has now raised a total of $20.5 million.
RxLightning was co-founded by Julia Regan and Brad Allen to streamline the specialty medication onboarding process. It aims to become the single destination for any specialty medication onboarding at any specialty pharmacy, simplifying a complex process into a matter of minutes or hours rather than days or weeks.
