McKesson Ventures has added Lizzie Lee as its newest team member. She joins the firm as senior director, leading its portfolio development and market research efforts.
With a decade of healthcare experience, Lee is well-positioned to help McKesson Ventures’ portfolio companies scale by developing and facilitating collaboration amongst the portfolio company, McKesson’s business units, and its customers. Lee will also lead market research efforts to further develop McKesson Ventures’ thought leadership on relevant, emerging trends in the healthcare industry.
“I’m passionate about connecting the innovation of novel startups with the power of industry knowledge, market research, and experience,” Lee said. “Joining the McKesson Ventures team is the perfect avenue to move McKesson’s innovation agenda forward and foster the efforts of our portfolio companies.”
Lee joined McKesson Corporation in 2017 and most recently served as a director on the enterprise strategy team, where she played an important role in the development and launch of McKesson’s multi-year strategy.
Prior to her work at McKesson, Lee was a consultant at professional services firm ZS Associates, where she worked with top pharmaceutical companies on -go-to-market strategy, launch planning, and market access. She also had a significant role in building the company’s innovation team.
“McKesson Ventures is committed to supporting our companies beyond capital funding, and having a dedicated team focusing on identifying commercial synergies is one of the primary ways we accomplish this,” said McKesson Ventures Partner and Vice President Jennifer Carter. “Lizzie’s deep McKesson expertise and overall healthcare knowledge will be instrumental in developing our portfolio companies.”
Lee joins McKesson Ventures at an exciting time; it has recently completed investments in a variety of startups including Clinical Ink, Lambert Vet Supply, and Koneksa Health. These latest investments and team growth reflect the company’s ongoing commitment to building a diverse leadership team and expand its presence and expertise in oncology care, consumer health, digital pharmacy, biopharma clinical and commercial services, data and analytics, and value-based care.
